 | is it possible to swap a 5 speed manual into a 88 k1500 4x4? i have an 88 k1500 4x4 with the 305 and im wondering if i could swap a 5 speed manual into it? if so what tranni do i need and is the final drive of the transmission higher or lower than the 700r4 automatic? im wondering because i think im going with 4.56 gears and running 35 inch tires and if i swap i dont want to have to re-gear again.... |

| well i have a 79 chevy. i found that a NV4500 will work and if you look up NV4500.com i believe is the site makes adapters to for it to bolt in. then i think that you have to cut your driveshafts and stuff. but you can find out more. |
