Chev 1500 wiper Problems

Hello, I have a 98 chev Pu and the wipers work for a while then stop then start again after awhile seems they lose power then regain it ( like a Circuit breaker?) (Over Heated? )I don't have any Idea if it has one ? also I don't have a Book or Wire diagram to look at.. If someone out there in Chev. PU land could help me out with this ? I sure would appreciate it! I am Hoping it is a common type Problem that someone has delt with ??
The trk has the sw on the turn signal lever and also has a delay sw ...Thanks much Nu

Welcome to the forum Mr Nu.

You could also have the common problem for 90's chev with water
getting into the circuit board at motor (dab of silicone will fix that)
or bad board with cold solder or cracked solder (solder iron will fix).
If you have a "unfixable" board they should be about $40.

Do a search of this forum for wiper issues,
you will find much good reading, with many specifics and detailed help.
Think of the forum as not just a "chat room" but also a "library" for trucks.

Gets my vote. Unplug the wire harness, remove the three screws from the cover, remove the cover and carefully ease the circuit board out. Resolder the pins coming from the plug and replace.

I couldn`t see anything wrong with mine either but on advice from here I resoldered the connections on the board that come from the plug.
That was about 18 months ago and it`s still OK.
