Throttle Body Spacers?

I was wondering if throttle body spacers made any difference in performance. I drive a 97 Suburban K1500. At speeds between 30-40mph it seems to hesitate with the truck in overdrive before down shifting. This is why I was wondering if a throttle body spacer would make a difference.

won't make a difference, the fuel is not mixed at the throttle body with that engine.

throw your shifter down to 2 when you want to pass, the kickdown isn't the greatest with that trans.

97 uses the 4L60E trans and the shifts are determined by sensor readings such as the TPS, MAP, vehicle speed and others i can't think of right now.
you might be able to put a new cal in the module, but i don't think it would be worth it just for a kickdown delay.

i have nothing to add here, its been pretty well stated correctly. but in general regard to the Throttle Body Spacer. dont waste your money on one, with any vehicle. its not worth it. if ya want one bad enough, its nothing but a deck with a hole the size of your intake and holes for the bolts. anyone can make that, easy.
