didnt you keep the old engine out of the BILs farm truck?? i know you replaced it with one out of a van and thought you kept it and trashed the heads.

i did keep it until i tore it down and found this.

it was only a 350 though and is rusting at a scrapyard now.

That's terrible. You could have gotten another piston at the junkyard, and a little JB weld to fix the hole in the cylinder and have that one up and running like new again.

being you have a week off coming up, you should have ample time to replace the engine in stumpy and get something done on the nosebleed project.

so now what?? you have a trans to fix/replace?? ill help you out if you come help me out. i have a dimmer switch, shocks, lights, oil change, belts, and a couple of other off the wall items on the big truck to change out next Sat. maybe have enough time to rebuild the back half of the injector pump if i have time. got a feeling that i wont just because i really dont want to.

yeah, my first day of vacation was wasted on the road today and tomorrow i'm going to pick up a trans for his truck that's an hour and half away, then hopefuly throw it in when i get home and pray it works like the guy says it does. sometime this week, i also need to drive another 2 hours to pick up tires for the mud truck.
