Need major help issues on 93 s-10!

Dear Thread Readers I need expert advice fast,
Now here is the issue first off this is a 1993 Chevy S-10 4x2 with 4.3L V6
Ok here is the story ... You can turn the key over she will crank and crank hit the throttle a little somtimes to WOT and she will start she will run ok at 1500RPM but as soon as you let off she will bog down start to cut out or stall ... I can run her hard if i can get her moving and at stop signs stay on the throttle.
I checked the TPS for the 1.25 V it was under that and went up smoothly
Sometimes while driving while i am on the throttle the gas gauge will shoot up then at idel go down ? she will run fine on the pedal and on the highway even going around 5 to ten miles an hour as soon as i let off the gas she bogs down starts to cut out and die run a little then die i chcked the PCV valve and hoses... NO Codes ... except for a Detation sensor which i put in already ... and the temp gauge does not work but these codes have been on for like a year and a half ... HELP PLEASE!! ASAP NEED THIS ONE TO RUN THANK YOU

Zak

Yeah a clogged cat or muffler sounds like the culprit to me in this case... No codes though thats a kicker... Although I do recall one time my younger brothers 89 S15 jimmy was running roughly the same as yours and everything checked out. No codes TPS seemed fine and everything but we changed the TPS just out of spite and it corrected itself so that maybe something you could try... Good luck with your dilema

I vote for IAC idle air controller.

The IAC is a throttle in miniature. It is supposed to be under the control of the comp and keep the motor supplied with just enough air to run while at idle when you're foot is off the gas.

I agree with z07. While I was reading I was thinking IAC valve then I seen z07 was thinking the same thing.

Remove that ****** and clean it with carb cleaner. Spray out the hole it screws into as well. It should be located passenger side rear of throttle body.

Throttle position sensor could be cleaned as well. It is located directly in front of the IAC about the middle of the throttle body on passenger side.

z07 beat me to it. might also check for a vac leak as this will cause a rough idle and if a bad enough leak, possible stall.

Sounds like a bad fuel pressure regulator to me. Pull the vacuum pipe off it and see if you can smell gas.
