6.0 swap Does any body know if i can run a tbi system on top of a 6.0 short block? I understand the tbi would need some improvements, Bigger throttle body, bigger injectors, higher fuel pressure, and a tune. My main concern is two things....Would my sending units and sensors needed work with my current pcm? and also, does anyone make an intake that would bolt onto stock 6.0 aluminum heads? any info or recomendations are appreceated.

I want to do the swap as cost effectively as possible but still retain some type of fuel injection.

There is no cost effective way except to buy a painlesswiring harness and re install all the engines components in your vehicle. OR buy an edelbrock kit that comes the intake and MSD ignition box to fire the distributorless ignition system and choose your own carb.

because of the type of idiot that i am, i say idiot because the censors wont let me type what i want, no on both accounts. neither TBI nor carb will fit on a short block because a short block has no intake for it to sit on. matter of fact, it doesnt even have the heads for the intake to sit on. | |

really hope that doesnt offend him as that was not meant to. i argued with a guy a while back cuz he said he wanted to drop in a 460 short block in his truck. i guess he thought a short block was the same thing as a long block only better??

No offense to any one here, but for $1000 you can set a running 6.0, LS6 or what ever you choose in any vehicle. Edelbrock has a kit thru Jegs or Summit that consist of an intake Performer RPM or Victor Jr., MSD ignition control and your choice of carb, 750cfm recommend for 425hp onto a 6.0, 385hp for a 5.3, 599hp on an LS6 427 small block. ALL on stock engine blocks.
