| 1992 Blazer front seats I installed a tuffy security console in between my two front seats and now the inner arm rests on both seats interfere with the console. Since the console top is now acting like arm rests, I want to remove the inner arm rests, thus removing the interference. I opened up the back of one of the seats and it appears that the arm rests have a post that slip into a collar. I tried using a hammer and punch to "knock" the arm post out of the collar. That didn't work. I didn't see a retaining clip holding the arm rest in and I don't think they are pressed into place considering this post is what allows the arm rest to swing up and down. Does anyone know how to remove the arm rests? Thanks. |
