Front End Squeaks Hello - I have just started getting a squeaking noise in the front end when I go over bumps, driveway, etc.. I have gone through and greased all the fittings. I have Ranchos that are 6 months old. I looked at the bushings, they looked OK. A little cracked but seemed to look OK. What else could it be? Thanks 2003 Chevy Crew Cab, 4' ProComp, Rancho shocks, 33 Bridgestone Duellers

| Try some silicone spray on your bushings, check the sway bar bushings also

I saw this Suburban customization/restoration thread on another board. The woman doing the resto drilled and tapped the shock and leaf spring mounts for grease fittings. She made those points that can squeak and wear into something anyone with a grease gun could lube. I thought it was a neat idea and will try it when the time comes for new shocks or springs.

Well jacked up the truck today and found allot of play in the left front wheel. No play in the right. I am pretty sure it's the bearings that is the problem. I will be looking to pull that out and throwing in a new one. Keep you posted.

Glad you found the bad part before it messes things up more or leaves you stranded.

Found out, I gotta but the whole assembly. Can't buy just the bearings to replace. It's a bearing / hub assembly kit. All the local shops don't carry it, saying it's a dealer part. Gonna keep looking.

if its the 4 wheel ABS, get ready to drop a good bit of money. not difficult to change out since it is a sealed unit however, you will be spending more than 200 on that one hub.

You are absolutely right my friend. I called the dealer since there are no aftermarkets kits and the cost for the bearing/hub kit is 615.00 for one.
