4L60E trans problem 95 chev 1500 2x4

I have a 95 chev 1500 2x4 4.3, 4L60E auto trans problem when I come to a stop the tranmission seems to shift out of gear, then when I hit the gas the engine rev's then the trasmission slams into gear (neutral blast) this doesn't happen everytime, there's a ticking sound coming from the trans when truck is moving, not always there ,sometimes louder tick ,sometimes light tick all other functions are normal, shifts up and down automaticlly ,no slippage, kick down works, trans fluid full (changed recently) ,u-joints good ,slip yoke and spline good, rear end good ,has any body heard of this or know what it could be. gord@sei-ind.com

bm83 will become famous soon enough
sounds like a valve sticking in the valve body.

What he said sorry im not a trans tech. Welcome to the forum and howdy from TEXAS. Maybe go to a trans shop and ask them see what they say if they ask you we can fix it tell them your thinking of taking it apart you just need an idea if it's something small. It could be that your valve body has varnish on it sometimes a trans cleaner will fix it but your going to have to change your fluid per the directions on the can I say you can't go wrong by spending a few bucks on a can instead of taking the whole trans apart.

Yep, a valve is sticking in the valve body, but that may not be the root of the problem. It could more of Solenoid malfunctionging, therefore the valve is not going to react properly. With the recent fluid and filter change is it possible someone bumped the solenoid wires? I am not aware of familiar with the ticking, but it would seem to me the problem will be solenoid related. It very well could be a stuck valve and the solenoid is activating and deactivating waiting on the valve to return. That is just a wild guess out of my hat though, cuz I am not familiar with that problem.
