front diff interchange

any one know if the front diff from a 2000 dually (old body style, like 88-98) will work in my 2000 suburban 2500xl (new body style)?

i would find out what the gearing is before i done this swap. it should be the same besides that. the gearing might be the same also but from a 1 ton to a 3/4, i really dont know.
