| Robert (merlin5577) has been buggin me for pics, so i decided to take her out of the garage today, once i threw a new rear wheel cylinder on the drivers rear(was leaking) i fired her up and puller her out of the garage and gave her a rinse. got a few pics here, just starting with the ones i took today. I have a bunch of photos scanned into my computer of her restoration, but the files are much to large to upload on my cheap *** home internet. so stay tuned, as monday morning i hope to get them on here. this is my 1951 Chevrolet 1420 Pickup (3/4tonHD) Shes fully loaded with every factory add on (minus factory radio and sun visor, which i have a visor but don`t like the look) My dad and I seen this truck originally on the trans canada hiway outside of hinton probly 4 years prior to actually buying it, for some reason it sat there for sale year after year, I loved the truck and finally one summer we stopped in and took a look, we couldn`t beleive it! she was completley original and running, actually legal too! the guy had been driving it to work on sunny days! I beleive we ended up picking her up for $2500 bucks, (was orginally $6500 when first seen it)(i`m going to call my dad, not sure if this is correct amount, but it was a good price.) It had around 58000 original miles. as you will see in the pics to come on monday it was in pretty good shape, no holes from rust, but some surface rust indeed. It was late sept. 1999 when we got it and it took 1.5 years to full restore. In 2001 (as in some pics to come monday) I drove it to school regulairly and took my wife to graduation in it too, and a few other places...:naughty: but any ways today when i rolled her out of the garage she has 60708miles (see pic) its starting to look like it needs some body TLC (Its been nearly 10 years i guess so!) in a few places. pretty minor really. the motor runs just like new (well after completing the resto we decided it smoked too much so we rebuilt it.) maybe i will get a clip of the engine running we`ll see how it goes today. OKAY PICTURES!!!! about to fire her up... ![]() about to rinse her down, (gets dusty even under a cover....:dunno ![]() an engine pic, shes still dusty, need to polish her up a bit.... ![]() the cab, yup dirty too...shheeesh. ![]() and the mileage! ![]() remember more to come tomorow!

| I would love to have something like that, But I think I would have done it as a resto mod with a modern drive train and suspension, but leave the body stock.
