| Punch it and I gets no Gas Hey Guys - My 03 Silverado is back on the site again. I seem to have a problem when i punch it. When I press down on the gas, it seems like ti is getting bogged down, then it eventually catches up after about 5 - 10 sec. Then it is normal. The egine is warmed up, i checked the hoses for compression leaks, and the air filter is clean. Got any ideas? Thanks |

| Same thing happened to my 99 Sierra, check the fuel filter and change if it needs it. the truck needs constant fuel pressure/ Feed to keep the engine running, if its too low might just be enough to run at idle but not at an open throttle. Also check the pressure on the fuel lines, if it holds the correct pressure start the same test and see how long the pump holds while the truck is off, i cannot remember what the pressure is supposed to be i thinks its like 18lbs for my truck or something close. Hope it helps |
