What is the color code of this door panel?

Hi all, new here. I just wanted to ask if there is anyone out there who would know what the factory color code is, of this door panel. I am trying to dye or paint my interior this color, but first I have to know what it is. At first I thought it was called "Saddle", but I think that saddle may be too dark. Can anyone help me out with this color? If I can find it I will be ordering it from SEM interior paints so that I can get started with my conversion. Oh by the way this is for a 1987 Chevy silverado. The panel in the pic is from a 73-80 model, though.

Phew I dont think anyone can awnser looking at a pic. I think there is a code somewhere or a website that lists interior colors of that year. Maybe someone else will chime in.

Used to be, back in "the old days", when cars and trucks were assembled there was a sheet of paper listing all the options, trim levels, paint codes, fabrics, etc. used on that vehicle attached to the springs under one of the seats. As an '87 yours might be just old enough to have one of those. Usually they were under the rear seat, tucked up between the springs and the foam.

I looked in the glove box and all that sticker says is "Enamel:" and then a blank space. Then a long list of characters that goes something like: AD1W-33FBDJUI735 or something to that effect. Suffice to say, i don't think it's the interior color code. Probly something not so useful, like the sticker's serial number lol. If you had to guess, what color would you pick from that sample sheet i posted?

hard to say looks like the santa fe to me but.....

do you have a napa close to you or a body shop?

in their paint books they should have a interier color charts. it would be much easyer to do it that way then you know what the name is.

What's going to make it even harder is that you're trying to match a 30 year-old paint job. Even if you found the paint code, and the paint was mixed to the exact specification, it's gonna be different because the 30 year-old paint has decades of sunlight that changed it, years of dirt and cleaners that affected it and no two batches of paint ever match perfectly.

Hmm, that's right. Well I just want to replicate that color. Im thinking the Santa Fe is probly close enough to it to try and replicate it. Even if the old panel is faded out from it's original color.
