Dana 60's came in gm trucks from atleast 73-80 3/4 ton and one ton, and from 81-87 in one tons.. they were kinda hit or miss in the 3/4 ton but you can usually find them in the old military trucks.

They also came in 3/4 and 1ton dodges up until 93 or 94 whenever they changed the front end to the body style they have now. Don't know when they started using them but before 94 they still used a passenger side drop for the diff so they are pretty much a direct bolt in for chevy's. The new dodges use a driverside drop, and ford has always used a driverside drop. you can still use them but you'd have to find a divroce mount transfer case or a np205 from a ford.

No need to apologize. I knew what you meant, just wanted to clarify that so other reading the thread didn't think otherwise. Thanks for the info. And that is the info I was looking for on the D60 MrJW. Thanks a bunch. I am in no hurry to change out the diffs, but now I know what to keep an eye out for.
Oh, and don't take it personal that MrJW was my favorite Moderator Brad. I was just trying to acquire a D44 with lock out hubs and 4.10 gears. It didn't work, so I don't have a favorite Moderator anymore. Unless of course you have a NP 205 with a T400 adapter.
PS, even if it had a T350 or SM465 adapter, you could still be my favorite moderator.

ive got a power divider and rearend off of a freightliner. you aint going to tear that thing up. all you would need would be a transfer case.

Wow, Thanks buddy. You're the best. A little lift kit, and I can make that fit. Of course that is about all the truck would be able to do, is drag that rear end around. That would sure be a funny looking U Joint, to make that adapt conversion work.

241c is the same thing i have in my truck. it is a chain drive.
243 is the puch button type in the newer trucks.
only problem i had was a broken snap ring and output bearing.

i got a 208 in the garage that i'll give ya, hotrod.
