Here is the P/N to the pCM you will need for that engine.. 88999146 Any PCM from the scrap yard bearing this number will also have a CalPak and EPROM already in it that will work with that engine.

Stitz Love will become famous soon enough
...? Say... with the problems I am having lately... ('90 c-1500 with '94 5.7) this thread got me wondering... my truck was originally equipped with the (v-6) 4.3... the '94 5.7 was installed about 70,000 miles later, but the computer is still the original.
It drove and ran great for about 1,200 miles... now it won't idle worth a darn and bogs down while accelerating... (lopes while trying to idle)... etc. I am trying to resolve it...(details can be found on my posts)
But from reading your postings here, I am getting the indication that when an engine swap is done, a new computer (ECM?) is required?
ps, ...not trying to hijack your thread here... I'm just looking for answers with a very limited amount of time. I am interested to see (read) the results of your swap-out project.

if it were your prom , it wouldn't have ran great for 1200 miles , you have other problems , maybe fuel , smog , or electrical . get a good scan .
