I think that three prong connector was for the TCC or the PRND safety switch on the original trans. But like we said a trans out of a 99 WILL NOT WORK in a 93 no matter how hard you try to make it work. what you need to do is find a trans out of a 93 or earlier 2wd pickup making sure it has all of the right connectors or the won't work right either. I don't mean to be a dick but thats just the simple fact the electronics different between a 93 and a 99 won't allow it to work.

Or you could get a stand alone trans controller. Have a look at www.baumannengineering.com for details.
Some people say they are better than the factory computers.

rxl has a spectacular aura aboutrxl has a spectacular aura about
I also own a 93 and it is an "E" tranny. After talking to a ton of people on the forums and locally I found it was much easier to stick with a 93-94 tranny. Some said 95's work also. I happen to have a 94 that had been swapped into a 95 burb and now in my 93. Works perfectly. Straight swap.

I want to say after 95 the electronic side of the trans was drastically change to ad in emissions thus the more control over it. I think the 4L60e for 93-95??? just had a wire added for something in the valve body in. I'll have to look at my book cause now I am curious the difference.
