I would think that the 99 is a 4L60E. I believe that needs a computer to run it. I think 93 was still a 4L60 no E for Electronic.

X2 on that you can't put a 4L60E(94-??) into a 4L60 truck(91-93 it think) especially if the trans came out of a 99 the electronics are worlds apart. Sounds like your gonna have to find a trans outta a 4L60 truck or a older vacuum controlled 700R4 will work as long as the speed sensor in the housing is compatible with the wiring on the truck

You're right Dragon... Can't put a 99 tranny in a 93 and expect it to work without the PCM.

It's not quite that simple... The PCM is going to need inputs that your 93 just isn't built to give it.

No more than likely I don't think the trans will work with out the engine out of a 99 or later and the PCM. Because you truck being a throttle body injection truck and starting in 96 they went to full sequential fuel injection I don't think even if you got the PCM the trans provably still wouldn't work because those PCM's have specific programing the read engine rpm's engine load vehicle speed and so on and so forth to decide when to shift up, down and lock the torque converter. Basically what bernie said
