help just rebuilt motor now problems

i just rebuilt my vortec motor in my 98 z71 and now the scanner is calling fo a miss fire. its running real bad any info or idea would be great

did you do a compression check to confirm proper valve lash? did you set the timing with a scan tool?

pretty sure 98 requires a crank relearn via a scantool.

pull the codes.

Also make sure all the sensors are on the correct place and connected.
