    No power to ignition

    I have a 1970 Chevy pickup w/350 & HEI distributor.

After adding a carb w/ electric choke, the truck has no voltage... lights, ignition, etc = nothing. The choke was wired to the +12V ignition (same wire going to BAT terminal on Dist)

I thought it might be the connection @ starter, so I pulled starter to review wires on solenoid... everything looked OK. Checked ignition again, out of curiousity, and I had lights, and full ignition +12v.

    Put starter back in... nothing.

    Any ideas?

It was a loose connection on a post in the engine bay about 6" from the main battery terminal (bridging Main 12V Hot to fuse panel/ignition)

    No problem!

I hate doing a search & finding someone else who had your EXACT same problem... only to see the thread go unanswered

Good job finding that, and thanks for posting back the details.

I give this thread 9 out of 10.
A picture would have been +1.
