******** bed bolts

OK guys i'm trying to pull the bed off my truck got 2 cross members rotting out i got the 4 outer bolts off just fine but i can't seem to get the middle two off no matter what i try i've soked em down with penetrating oil tried the working them back and for with the impact and using a breaker bar with a pipe on the end i'm just about to the point of blowing em of with the torch but it'll be a pain to replace them. just wondering if any one has some tricks of the trade to help. thanks in advance.

nope. sry. I had this problem on my s10, real bad. I just pulled the bed off with the loader and ditched it. Honestly its way cheaper and less of a head ache to just buy a rust free bed for around 500, than to dick around fixing the rotted out one. Just my experience.

Oh sry it's not the bed cross members my mistake didn't write that down its the cross member on the frame where the spare tire would go the rest of the frame is rust free and solid the bed is in good shape little rust I put a new one on when i bought the truck 5 yrs ago a friend of mine had the truck and a tree limb fell on the original bed crushing the rails down he didn't want to mess with it so i traded him me 93 i had at the time and he bought the bed

Do you have a "HOT WRENCH"(Torch) that might work. Maybe

Penetrating oil test.
Penetrating Oils Compared

Machinist's Workshop magazine actually tested penetrants for break out torque on rusted nuts. Significant results!

*They arranged a subjective test of all the popular penetrants with the control being the torque required to remove the nut from a "scientifically rusted" environment.*

*Penetrating oil ..... Average load*

None ..................... 516 pounds
WD-40 ............. 238 pounds
PB Blaster ............. 214 pounds
Liquid Wrench .. 127 pounds
Kano Kroil ............ 106 pounds
ATF-Acetone mix....53 pounds

*The ATF-Acetone mix was a "home brew" mix of 50 - 50 automatic transmission fluid and acetone*
*Note the "home brew" was better than any commercial product in this one particular test. A local machinist group mixed up a batch and all now use it with equally good results. Note also that "Liquid Wrench" is about as good as "Kroil" for about 20% of the price.*

Cool glad that they came out for you. I think I will have to use that home brew next time I have some rusty bolts. Again thanks for the response with the home test.
