1995 Chevy 2500 Tranny or electrical

I have a 1995 Chevy 2500 PU with a 350 with a tranny problem.
I went about 3 days with no problems and then the tranny jumped out of OD and went to 2nd gear. The speedo and tech went down to zero but the truck was stll moving. I pulled over and checked tranny fluid it was full. I took off with it in OD and went about 20-30 mile an hour and it jumped down to 2nd gear and the speedo and tech went to zero again. It drives fine in 2nd and also the light indicator for the shifter goes out or dim until I slow down. HELP

i'am confused due to my age , if this is a automatic , even if the selector is in of the trans starts out in 1 then shifts to 2 than 3 then into od at a certain speed , since the trandy doesn't slip when you put it in gear , i think it's electrical , maybe lose or corrosion on the connectors . do a scan and pull some coads and post back on what you find out

shd

Welcome to the forum rlander06

Or the connector fell half off ?
Do some snooping at the wires underneath and under dash,
and pull codes too. Do search here for info on how.

Trucks back on the road

I just got my truck back from the shop. What they did was traced all the wiring and found a bad wire from the fuse to the tranny. Repaired this and the trucks running fine again. Thanks for your help.
