| My buddy placed a cam on his 1988 burb he got it from Summit racing and it came out good. I love the sound of a little cam on a vehicle with a slight miss sound meaning like on the older carb cars. |

| So if I am understanding this all correctly you put a little bit bigger cam in your engine and it ran bad come to find out plug wires were bad. Now that they have been corrected, engine runs fine with that cam at all engine speeds?

| for the most part yes you are correct Crmzen my idle still isnt as smooth as i'd like tho. but all other speeds it works great nice n snappy no shortage of power before i drill the holes i mentioned earlier i am getting rid of my wide open true dual exhaust with glasspacks and no catalytic convertors. I kinda think thtas where my rough idle is coming from. i am going to install flowmaster turbos and some kind of h pipe to equal out the pipes. I HATE THE SOUND OF GLASSPACKS CANT STAND EM AND THE PERFORMANCE SUCKS.

| so i drilled the holes in my butterfly's and boy am i glad i did my idle is as smooth as can be now. i drilled 1 hole in each butterfly toward the front of the trhottle body in front of the butterfly shaft deadnuts in the middle the drill bit size was approx 1/8 inch or #21. no more bogging or surging at red lights guess that old boy knew what he was talkin bout he's like 65 so he's seen and done it all,lol

| Thanks for trying that out and letting us know the result. So it smoothed out the idle, but how about the rest of it thougout the power band? Everything still good, and no codes or CEL???
