| Brake pedal going to floor then ABS kicks in. I own a 2001 Chevy Silverado 8.1 litre Dually 1 ton ,It has sitting in garage for about 8 months and now I have problem where brake pedal almost go's to the floor and if I hold the pedal it will then the ABS kicks in(meaning electric motor sound kicks in) I can pump brakes and it works ok . But I am not sure where to start I am thinking brake booster or master cylinder. Here is work on brake's that has been done: New rotors all the way around pads in front New brake lines (I actually have to bring it in the have brake lines bleed again) If it sounds like the Master cylinder or Brake booster how easy of a fix is that?

| My guess would be that there is air in the system from replacing the lines and it needs bled. |

| Ok so having them bleed the lines would be good idea OR is it something I could do if so what would be a good procedure to do it? .

| You do need them bled. ABS can be tricky to bleed without the scan tool to cycle the solenoids but some guys have been able to do it. You need a helper to press the brake pedal. Start at the right rear and loosen the bleed screw on the caliper about half to one turn and get the helper to press the pedal slowly to the floor, tighten the bleed screw and then release the pedal. Repeat until no more air comes out. Do the same at the left rear, right front and then left front. Keep checking the fluid resevoir and keep it topped up-never let it run out of fluid. See if that helps. |

| Ok I get this code when i hook up my scanner C0266-Left Front Wheel Speed Signal Missing. and I get the ABS to come on sometimes when I push the brake work done: Front brake rotors and new pads (heavy duty) Brake lines bled pedal was slowly going to the floor now that is fine no slop just ABS motor comes on once and a while. Had both front wheel bearing assembly's replaced Because the sensors are in the bearing assembly you can not just replace the sensor 2 years ago. Hook up scanner and the code above came on . I checked the wire to the sensor clean and connected well . Is there a way to test the wires to sensor? I have volt&ohm meter. Any Ideas?
