yonsayvitch is on a distinguished road
no speed

I have a 84 K5 Blazer that was redone about 6 years ago. Put 1500 miles on it then parked it. Once a month or so I would start it up and move it a little but thats it. Now when it hits 25 or 30 it will not go any futher and it feels very rough. When it's in park the engine sounds great up thru the rpm range. Only at idle it souds rough. I took the carb apart but it was still like new. The trany was rebuilt with everything back then. It does have a leak at the rear main seal again but I always add fluid. Can it be a simple fix? Thanks for listening Marcus

I would check the EGR valve and check for restricted exhaust flow (Plugged cat).

did you add stabil to the system or keep using that old nasty gas?? 6 years is way too old for gas and will break down and varnish/congeal everything including a fuel filter.

i was being optimistic earlier. if gas has not been changed, you know that system is in serious need of attention.
