| I have seen it done on TV and I remember they Z cut the frame so it could be welded up better or it would hold up better can be done have you considered looking for a short-bed frame and going from there. It's an idea. I bought the movie Christine and anything can be done Arnie made her look brand new again. YouTube - Christine tribute YouTube - 1969 Trans Am 1 owner barn find I would love this car. |

| Yeah, I'd just be looking for a frame. Sure it can be done, but seems like alot of work, and I'd be afraid of the safety issues, and goofing up the integrity of the frame. There are plenty of rusted up cabs around that the frame is still OK in these years models. Be willing travel a bit, and you will find one for cheap. $100-$200 around here quite often, althoguh the short beds are bit more rare but they are there too. TX isn't that far away from OK.

| Great, thanks for all the input. The frame swap would be easier and safer. Im going for more of a hot rod look and the lwb looks too much like a work truck. |
