Question Windshield washer spray freezing up

So has anybody figured out a good way to get the washer spray nozzles to stop freezing up in the winter on GMC trucks?

I have a 94 1500 4x4 and one side constantly freezes up, I remember this being an issue I had on a chevy van of about the same year I used to drive as well.

Seems like there should be some way to increase the flow or something to stop that little hole from being frosted over. I hate having to wait for it to thaw out before you get any juice....

Any help from my cold weather friends out there would be appreciated...

Scott

you should be able to pick up an "anti-freeze" made for wiper fluid at your local auto parts store.

Use a good brand of washer fluid, rated for at least 0 degrees, and keep the reservoir covered and topped off to reduce evaporation of the alcohol in it. Also, Prestone (and others) sells a pretty good de-icing spray that comes in a spray bottle like regular glass cleaner. It's good down to about -20 and I keep one in each truck during the winter.

I use prestone window washer fluid, with a squirt of rain-x in the gallon before filling. been the best thing in the winter! even better than the rain-x washer fluid. the blue stuff is junk

Yeah, that Prestone fluid with the de-icer in it is great stuff. I use the Rain-X for the summer and use the de-icer in the winter.
