1994 S10 Blazer EGR issues

I need help again guys...
Ive taken apart the EGR valve 2 times in 3 days. The service engine light comes on, and it starts running like ****. It comes up with a code 32.
Each time Ive taken it apart, the valve has been stuck open because little black chunks that look like charcoal have been stuck inside the valve, holding it from closing all the way.Ive cleaned it out each time, blown air into the valve, and it starts running properly, but then within 20 miles it gets clogged again. What is going on?I dont think the valve has a problem because it opens and closes normally when I remove the deposits, but what else could it be?It hadn't been driven in about 2 and a half months because I had to have transmission work done, and there is a leak at the exhaust manifold gasket. Im just tired of taking it apart already. Thanks for looking guys.

you have carbon built up in the channel from the exhaust

I would disconnect the EGR valve and let it sit closed. An occasional SES light is no big deal.

Depending on the vehicle SES puts the ecm in default! try cleaning the intake (loosen the carbon) and blowing the particles out with compressed air. maybe someone has a picture of how the port runs to aid you

Try running seafoam in your engine for awhile. They also make an EGR gasket that has a screen on it so larger chunks cant get into the EGR and make it stick

rdhack has a spectacular aura aboutrdhack has a spectacular aura aboutrdhack has a spectacular aura about
SeaFoam Time. Do research about how to use it 3 ways in your engine.

Carb cleaner and a speedo cable for the home DIY... Remove the EGR valve and spray carb cleaner into the port in the intake.... Liberally...... Then with one end of a piece if speedo cable attatched to a drill, start feeding it into the port (Like roto Rooter)... keep spraying and moving the cable around and in n out... Then start the engie with the EGR still off the engine and rev it up good a couple times to clear the port.. reinstall, clear codes and you're done.

Once you have a steady exhaust coming out of the port.. you're done.

put a rubber plug in the intake hole or it will be difficult to keep it running if you do it this way ^^^^^^
