If I can install back glass, anyone can. Piece of cake. Here is the secret to make it a 10 minute job. 15 minutes tops. Get a piece of soft rope, about as big around as your pinky finger. Put the rubber on the glass, then stuff the rope around the glass in the rubber seal. This will hold the lip seal out, so that you can set the glass in, push it in up against the metal, all the way around. It will still be sticking out a bit, that is OK. Then start at one almost corner, at one of the rope ends, then push in hard to set the glass, and slowly start pulling the rope out of the seal all the way around the glass as you are pushing in at that area where the rope is being removed. I have probably given a bad description, but it works like a charm to rope it in. Besides, it'll give you good 'ole boy warm & fuzzy feeling like a Cowboy. Roping in a winder !!! Yeee Hawww !!!

Not really. Other than do not haul it flat. Keep it on its edge while traveleing. Remeber it does not flex very well.

Well these year model windows are put in with some kind of supper dupper hellafied gasket sealer glue stuff.I ruined 2 exacto type razor knives and about 5 blades in a regular razor knife trying to get this one out.I had about 5'' to go to get it out and the SOB busted in my hands. It was the only truck like mine in the whole boneyard that still had a back glass in it.I could have gotten that one for $25.00 if it hadnt busted.Oh well, guess i`ll have to get the one I found already removed for $80.00.

Akkk... I wish I'd read this before you went to get the glass.

The quickest and easiest way to cut it free is with two people and a piece of piano wire with handles. Knife blades drag too much in the sealant and you can get cut bad if one snaps or "lets go" suddenly.

LOL,Thats kinda funny cause i luckily didnt need any stiches when I was done but had a couple of close calls.

A guy saw it happen and gave me similar advice for the next time.I was thinking,"where were you 5 minutes ago man".

No biggie.Live and learn, and it didnt cost me anything.

Is that necessary in the back window BB? I am thinking all he has to do is a flat screw driver and start working the rubber out, and then to get it in, use a rope. This is rear glass not windshield.
