92 wont start

I have a 92 chevy with tbi 350. It was running fine today and then it started bogging down like it wasnt getting fuel. So i replaced the fuel filter on the frame. Problem still existed. checked the injectors and they seem ok. changed the fuel pump and yet again the problem still is there..... Any ideas on what else it could be....

Start looking at your "combustion triad" (air/fuel, compression, ignition) and see where it leads you.

In your case, we'll assume you have compression, so that leaves the air/fuel mixture and ignition left to check. You've already checked half of the air/fuel leg of the triad, so maybe you'll want to look at the "air" portion of that. How's the airflow? Clean filter? Nothing blocking the intake?

I could be wrong but this is my experience.Ive found most of the time with my vehicles ignition components wear out the fastest and most often.Ive never had to change a fuel pump and never had anything block or clog the intake track.I am however about to change the fuel pump on my iroc.180,000 miles and its still going,i just need to upgrade to a 255 L/hr.My friends stock pump lasted 200,000 miles.
If its a well maintained truck i.e. clean air filter, maintained fuel system its prolly a bad set of plugs, wires, cap, rotor or maybe an ignition module or coil.Ive had all of these fail on me.However when the coil or the module fail you should get a no crank situation.Good luck

Oh i just remembered and noticed your thred title was NO START.Do you have spark?

Welcome to the forum and howdy from TEXAS. What brand fuel pump did you buy? Check your fuel pressure. Now im not saying that im right but it's a idea. Shady don't forget to buy a Delphi pump look how long the OEM has lasted.
Good luck! GMC

is it no start or running bad, might have pinched a fuel line putting the pump in, so you are chasing the original solution

it stays running if you give it gas. but if you try to give it more gas it dies like its not getting enough fuel orr something

Try giving it a bit more gas, and when it starts to die give it a shot of starter fluid. If it revs then it's not getting enough fuel or is getting too much air. If it still dies then it's getting too much fuel and not enough air, or has ignition problems.

i guess it runs great at about 1000RPMS while sitting in the yard?? if it seems to sputter and stall out without giving it any gas, you shuold check out the IAC. you may try removing it and cleaning it out before buying a new one though. should be 2 torx screws located on the back of the throttle body. it will have a brass colored, or in your case, black, that acts as a piston of sorts. do not screw it in but clean it up as well as the port in which the IAC feeds into. while there, go ahead and clean the butterfly in the TB. pay close attention to the back side of the throttle plate.
