| 2002 chevy avalanche I have a 2002 chevy avalanche, and I am having trouble figuring why the brake lights stay on after traveling about 1 mile. I have replaced all brake pads and the truck has less than 50,000 miles on it. Is there a procedure that I need to do to reset the brakes warning lights. |

| What's staying on? You're not being clear enough. Is it the brake lights themselves, or the ABS or parking brake light on the dash?

| Almost sounds like theres a brake monitoring system that tells you when the pads are low. Usually these things have some sort of manual reset procedure after a maintenance has been performed. I'm not a chevy man so if this is not the case please disregard and clarify what kind of light exactly you're seeing.

| Sorry, both brake lights on the dash are staying on. If there is something to reset to have the lights turn off please tell me. The lights being on all the time is getting on my nerves. |

When you changed the pads, did you also bleed the system?

Took it to a shop and had plenty of pad.The guy said could be something in the sensors(dirt, brake dust etc.) Wed I get 2 new rear tires and will ask them to give it a more thorough look see. If I find something out I'll let you know. If you beat me to it let me know. Thanks.

| Got a "Part 2" (no pun intended) on the second trip to the shop. You should have 2 messages in your in box. Check it if you don't have the auto notifacation feature enabled.
