which wheel cylinder repair kit?

how do I know which rebuild kit to get? its giving me all this bore **** and 10" rear brakes? im looking at rockauto.com and my truck is a 98 chevy 1500 w/t 5 lug 2wd no posi.

and how do I know if my rear shocks need replaced i, i was gettin it bouncing and stopped and it didnt bounce again after I let go. but the front will keep bouncing.

The best to do it pull it apart and measure it. But, I will make a guess for you. Since you are a V6 auto in a half ton, you are likely going to be the smallest one. If it were a V8, then it would be the bigger one. Sounds like your rear shocks are good, front ones need replaced.

whats CYLINDER KIT,RR BRK w/VACUUM PWR BRK SYS(JB6) or HYD PWR DISC/DRUM BRK(JD6)

do i have that. im just about to buy the kit that says rear

i think the jb6 is for a gas engine and the jd6 is for diesels

98 1500 is going to be VACUUM PWR BRK SYS(JB6). you dont have hydralic assisted brakes on your 1/2 ton.

The JD6 Hydro boost would be all 1 ton trucks, gas or diesel and diesel in a 3/4 ton. So your is Vac boost for certain.
