Digging up a square bore intake for vortec heads will be easy.

I say use the double hump heads and let me buy the Vortec heads from you. Have you done research on the double hump heads? Watch them be better than the Vortec heads.

The vortec heads are far superior to the old double humps... no question there.

im running 461 double hump heads on my 355. no bolt holes. only had problem with alt but made my own brackets. the heads have had ports enlarged and im running a comp 294s solid lift with 525 lift. 410 rear gear with 700r4. i run this truck on the street with no problem. with block milling and 2 valve relief flat top pistons its putting out around 425 to 450 hp. a blast to drive.

Yep, the vortec is a much better head for flow. The differance is NOT only the bolt pattern. The intake ports are taller on the Vortec head, that is how they are able to move much more air and flow better. They also have accessory holes. There is no such adapter either. Camel Humpers are very old school these days.
