| injectors acting up? I have a 92 4X4 v8 350. Was running fine but then all the sudden, now it wont start unless i dump a little gas in the intake manifold. Then it fires right up and runs great. But as soon as I shut it off, it wont start unless I dump the fuel again. Is it electrical maybe? It is not flashing any codes (no check engine light). I was thinking its not getting power to the injectors for some reason on startup, but once it fires, it runs perfect. Maybe their is a swicth involved somewhere thats went T/U. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Tony Last edited by tonyseahawk; 01-06-2005 at 01:05 PM. Reason: left out some info |

| My old 87 has a fuel pump primer that is engaged as the key passes through the on position. It is supposed to send a signal to pressurize the system and give initial fuel injection to satisfy the extremely rich conditions required for startup. This all occurs in that finite time before cranking. Grab the Chilton's and check the electric diagrams for the fuel pump primer switch. I don't know if you have the same system as mine (throttle body). |
