body lift

i just got a 2002 chevy 4x4 silverado Z71 off road. i want to do a slight non expensive lift to it. are body lifts ok? and what all is needed for best results. maybe you can give an approximate cost.

get torsion keys for your torsion bars and get a super lift 2 inch block and put it under your leafsrpings dont tighten your torsion bars all the way or it will ride like **** make sure to buy longer shocks it will be about 1200 but its way better then a body lift plus body lifts look like ****

I have a 2001 Z-71. 98Z71 is right, body lifts do look like **** IF they are NOT done correctly. I have one on my truck. I used a quality kit and took my time. I have 315/70-R16's, American racing wheels, dual exhaust, black running boards, bed cover, and a few other goddies like a Hypertech Power Programmer. I raised the bumpers and the exhaust with the body lift install. Running boards help hide the frame and help the kids get in. I think you AND 98Z71 would be impressed if you saw it. Kit is easy to install. Just takes alot of time. I spent 16 hours total. Basic tool kit and floor jack with jack stands is about all you need. Oh yeah, a plasma cutter or a sawz-all would be a big help. If you have questions, Email me at allane.lefebure@equistarchem.com.
