Question Taking Off 4X4 System

If i were to take off my 4X4 system what all would i have to do to make it drive right, or is it even possible to take it off. Would it take off much weight and if so would it even be worth the trouble to take it off?

You'll need to ditch the transfer case, most electronics for it and the ECM, the front end if you want a true 2wd would have to be replaced.
More work then you'd ever want or need to get into
IM SURE SOMEONE WOULD trade you their 2wd for your 4wd!!!!
