    94 chevy z71 door lock

The driver side door of my 94 chevy 1500 won't lock. originally the door would open and close but you can lock the door with the key, manually on the inside or with the power lock. I took off the panel and tried to find out what was wrong. You can lock and unlock it when the module is loose but when you hook it back up it won't move. So i but it back together and now when you shut the door it automatically locks. So now i have to get in on the passenger side to open the door. Any ideas on what might be wrong? thanks in advance

You are saying when you take module loose ... you can take key lock ..unlock.? But with module connected..can not ?
Now when module re connected locks door automatically?
Sounds like module stuck in lock mode. Staying in this position would not let you lock with key.
    Might clean ..or replace it.
What i,am thinking ............... Maybe someone else has their take on it .

Gitter done have fun. Running on empty...running blind...running behind.....
