Anyone know what an 87 Chevy 2500 is worth?

I'm looking at buying a black 87 silverado 2500 with 4x4, a 3" lift kit from the ffactory, heavy duty suspension package, and what I believe to be an 8.1L gas V8. I know the original owner, and he bought it new for a show truck, all the options it has, are from the factory. it only needs a radiator, new spindle and ball joint, and a stereo in it. I'm thinking about $ 4500 would be fair.

Beats me, but I'd say needing all that work, it ain't worth $4500. Check on KBB...good luck!

Agreed. 4500 is pristine condition everything working. If it isnt showroom clean I can pick them up for anywhere from 2000 to 3000, but this is just an educated guess on the condition of the truck you are interested in.

but Seriously, KBB is way off if the vehicle is over 10 years old or has over 100,000 miles on it. Simple supply and demand dictates the price. With gas prices rising there is alot less demand for bigger trucks and unless it is pristine, it might be worth between 2000, and 3000. just my opinion.
