Wow where did this thread go wrong. Just simple fact finding turned into opinions and BS. Look here it is the reason chevy is argued as the best is because of parts interchangability. Mixing and matching parts on a small block will result in different strokes and different cubic inch motors. Neither ford nor mopar can lay that same claim. A small block intake fits all small blocks. Lately they went to the vortec and changed all that. As for the interior being better thats bs, and the ride is only better if you compare a chevy independant front suspension they have been using since the 60s to a ford twin i beam which ford has only recently stopped making and started copying chevy front suspension on 2 wheel drives. The reason I hate fords is the ignition system. What retard came up with duraspark anyway. Man what a pain, if you loose spark you almost have to guess and change parts till you get it, But same era chevy has GM hei, Simple and reliable(not that duraspark wasnt reliable either, but far from simple) All these things are facts, Not bashing dodge or ford. You dont have to like it, but you cant disagreee with this.I have owned a few fords and dodges and none were better pre say, but I like CHEVYS

I feel I see more problems in the chevy forums on here than i do in the Ford Forums and more severe problems. From what i see here and what Ive seen outside here, I have to vote for Ford as the better truck. Thats my opinion. Another thing asking chevy truck lover witch is better Ford or Chevy is a silly question, of course they will tell you Chevy is better, there chevy truck lovers.

Who cares about the chevy vs ford thing, everyone can have what they want, its a free country, right? if you dislike ford, dont buy one, if you dislike chevy, dont buy that. its that simple.
very good post I agree.

You know I dont agree with opinion, but there is some fact to this,Smoother ride is true until about 97 when ford switched to a independant front suspension much like the one chevy has been making since around the 1960 era. Also parts are statistically cheaper until you get to about 1996 when chevy went vortec. Other than that this above is all opinion.

That could also simply mean there are more people that own chevys on this forum than anything else. Kinda like there are gunna be more murders in California than Long Island because there are like 10 times more people. I hope that made sense, it did to me lol

390FE will become famous soon enough
As for the suspension. I was also told the the Chevy IFS sits lower than Ford Twin I beam which helps off road.

And I got a friend (this is totaly opinion also) that has told me he beats on his fords harder than his chevies and they last him about the same amount of time. This is coming from a kid that untill recently couldn't keep a car for longer than 2-6 months. All beaten into the ground, either popped motors or other severe problems causing the "letting go" of the car/truck. I also met an older guy (in his 70's) and his philosophy was go Ford for trucks and Chevy for cars.

But as stated its all personal preferance and history with said manufacturer.

I think that the ride height would depend on the years compared. I would only guess that is could be true for some years and not for others. i am not sure. Anyhow has chevygirl ever returned, or are we just keeping this thread alive for the sake of argument?

P.S. Itsalia are you threating me? he he he (murders in california and all.
