gas i prefer GMs. Diesel the fords are better over the years. My daughter owns a brand new ford that has no power. Ford is losing to GM in the 1/2 ton segment because they didn't make a truck that would out perform the previous generation. How do you build a new truck from the ground up that does not out perform the competion currently available on lots new at the time.

well i have only had chevy/gmc's since i got my driver's licence. i have been around fords a buch and even worked in a ford dealership, but from what i know and experienced i will probally be driving a chevy for a while.

1. chevy has a quiter cab than ford
2. the newer gas model fords have some issues with rearends
3. chevy rides smoother than fords
4. bigger interior space in a chevy
5. chevy has stronger gas engines than the newer fords.
6. if i was going to drive a diesel it would be a ford though, it is the only thing ford has going for them right now.
7. ford loses in the styling race too they are just as ugly as the dodges.

I know this is old, but I have to express my opinion here. I owned an old Dodge for many years, and it had to be the most dependable truck I have owned yet. Pulled its weight, and never died. And I will add that I HATE fords, but heres what I have seen. Ford claims to have the longest lasting trucks on the road, and Dodge claims to have the strongest trucks on the road, but the why here, in a open truck forum do you see more chevy lovers? Even the polls shows Chevy is a favorite! I trust american, and the numbers don't lie. Chevy is better than ford, but not because of features, or quailty, but because it is a favorite among those who love trucks! So, enough said, Chevrolet RULES!!!!!!!!!
