| Hi: chevrolet S10, 4x4, 1994, 4.3L TBI vortec, Ext. Cab I need to replace the lower control arm. I have done what Chiltonīs Manual said about it. Release the tension on the bar by the tension ajuster arm and just slide off the torsion bar. But in real life is not just slide off. I have been hitting it with a 4 lb hammer and it did not work from eithr side. I try hitting the control arm forward to the front of the vehicle....did not work. It seems that something is holding it together. I just wanted to know if I am missing anything . IF there is a security clip or something that does not let the torsion bar slide out. Do I need to heat it or there is any other procedure ???. is there any trick about it?? I will apreciated any help on this isue. Regards, Hansel |
