02 S10 headlight issues

Ok, My moms 02 s10 truck is having some strange issues with the headlights, the right one only works on high beams, low beams it works like a flashlight with no bulb. I dont get it cause I just replaced the bulbs last weekend, and they're good, but it wont work.

If it helps any, the headlight assembly is kinda screwed up from when I rearended someone awhile back. this headlight issue has only come up in the last month, so I dont know what to do, where to look, or what. I know I need to replace some stuff, but I dont have the $$$ in my pocket to do it for her yet. I suspect a short somewhere, but I havent a clue where to look. any help would be appreciated.
