Question Trans Issue 2000 Silverado

So driving home this weekend my 2000 shrt bed just wouldn't go.. It just stopped shifting ,it would move a bit if we accelerated? Any ideas? We tried Drive, 2nd, 3rd and Reverse but with the same symptoms... The truck has less than 45,000 on it, all services performed at factory intervals. Any suggestions??

Thanks Cher

Check your fluid level first. First thought is it's low on fluid. But I'm sure you thought of that and it's something else. After that there are many reasons. Tow it to a transmission specialist you trust and make him show you the problem.

Thanks for the thoughts.. I checked the fluid level and smelled it for that wonderful burnt trans smell that trannys get when they go out.. I'd heared a rumor that these trucks are known to ruin a shaft in the tranny ? Any ideas..

Thanks Cher
