| I think maybe sandblasting would be the best option, but I am just guessing here .

| You could always have it sandblasted, or media blasted, or if you really want to get to know the thing, a hand grinder and a wire wheel can be your new best friend. After that I would suggest having it undercoated, specially if you live up north where snow and salt are a daily thing in the winter. Just my .02. hope it helps

| i recently opened a body shop and in new england, where i am from, this questio comes up often. i agree that the most pratical way to go would be a grinder and a wire wheel because havig to take the bed off of a rusted frame is not as much fun as it may sound. after that go with a good undercoating or even try using a role on bed liner. remember the thicker the longer that it will last. if you want to spend the little extra money there is a compay called SEM and they make a product called rust shield and it comes in many colors for your choosing. just here to help duff |
