transmission ????????????????? urgent

Folks,
My daugther owns a 2002 Chevy Blazer with 46000 miles. While driving at approximately 35 MPH her vehicle's four wheel drive system starting to flash and she heard a "pop" in the transmision. After stopping it was discovered that she had lost reverse.

Question - has anyone experienced this?
And can anyone direct me to techinal bulletins that may have been put out by Chevy/ GMC regarding other possible similar situations with these vehicles.

Your response is urgenly requested and would be appreciated.

Don't know of any bulletins sorry.. It seems wierd that she just lost reverse. 'specially if it has the 4l60e tranns. Reverse and overdrive run off the same drum and clutch assy.

I agree. Sounds like something electrically engaged the 4 wheel drive. Not gonna guess on this one. I will require some investigating.
