Blazer Transmission

Folks,
Needyour help. Does anyone have any information on possible transmission / transfer case issues with the 2002 Blazer.
At 45,000 vehicle needs extensive repairs, and I feel GM should be footing some of the bill.

Please responsd asap.

Umm 45000 on the clock, unless it had the extended warranty, it is out of warranty, If it was under warranty chevy would be footing the bill. need to know if the maintenace was kept up and what happened to the trans when it gave up? Is it lifted, owned by a kid? Used in the mud alot.

Yes, you are right able being out of warranty.
Maintainance was done on schedule.
Owned by a young lady; not abused or misused ever.
While diving at approximately 35 mph, 4 wheel drive lights started to go off and on. Loud clunk heard and immediately stopped to investigate.
No external damage visual. When I went through the gear selection, realized only forward gearing was operative; no reverse.
I serious feel there was a malfunction that occured in transfer case / transmission since the 4x4 selection lights were acting weird; as though the vehicle was shifting into 4 wheel drive on its own.
P.S. I have had 5 GM products and never have been under the impression that trannies are good only for 45,000 - warranty or not Chevy should step up and do what's ethical.

Is there any service bulletins that were put out to indicate possible issues with the 2002 Blazer??

Thank you in advance for any assistance that you can provide,
mikerike

No service bulletin. I called my friend that works at the general motors and there is no service bulletin he knows about. Sounds like it was dropped into 4 wheel low while moving . It should be shift oin the fly, but not into low range. Either the actuator manfunctioned, or someone accidentally hit the 4 low button. These are my guesses. Sorry but your on your own as far as the repairs go. There is now way to prove it wasnt actually operator error. Sorry friend.

Without evidence something actually malfunctioned and someone didnt accidentally hit the 4 low button at cruising speed, there is no use.

Each state has its own unique Consumer codes.
I think my states codes would provide some room for remedy
Thanks for your correspondence and hope to hear from you in the future
