electric fan??

Has anyone replaced the stock cooling fan and replaced it with an electric fan to take a little load off the motor?? 2004 5.3 chevy. Have already done intake, exhaust, computer programer, and throtle body spacer. It runs better but I am still really not that impressed. Looking for better performance. No race car just something fun to drive.

Any after market electric fan with a temp sensor in the circuit should work fine, But electric isnt as reliable as manual.

I had a "black magic" in my mustang, I took it out shortly after. I am not sure why, but it kept blowing fuses and it just didn't work as well as my flex fan. The extra horse power was not worth it with the hot temps up here.
