Chevy going down the tubes?

Has anyone else noticed that Chevy trucks seem to be getting cheeper and cheeper? I have purchased 4 new trucks in my life and the quallity just keeps getting worse. I have been thinking about switching brands, any comments about FORD?

The all found the wonderfully cheap world of plastic at the same time. I love G.m. products, but I know what you are talking about, they are all built cheaper with a larger price tag.

Well, I have owned two Dodge products in my life. 69 Coranet R/T 440 mag
detroit locker, dam lightning on wheels that one was, 72 Challenger, good dependable car. But I hear so many horrer stories about Dodge now. Frames cracking, wheels falling off, motors burning up, I am just hesitant about spending 25K on one, you know?

Ford just recalled 4million vehicles because of fire problems, I dont know about Ford either.

I am 6'4" 250 lbs, too dam big for a Toyota What is a man to do?

My friend bought a new dodge truck a few years back, dont even talk to him about the problems he's had with the rearend, gears going bad left and right, also bad problems with his engine pinging really bad and low power had it in and out of the dealer several times over that. They had a hard time making it right. All I know about the engine is it's a magnum v-8. I dont think he's had too many problems with it since he put in a high performance computer chip and exhaust. I rode to the store with his wife to get some bricks and it ran fine when i was in it.

To be honest if you're not looking for a work horse, go with a Toyota. I'm a Ford girl as you can tell, but if you want something that's economical but still a truck, I'd totally back Toyota up. As for a work horse, my '70 is still goin strong, tows anything and plows through anything Of course I'mma recommend you get a Ford.. but make sure it's a Powerstroke they last longer
