02 Silverado Transmission (Allison?)

Can anyone tell me how do I tell if my 2002 Silvertado has an Allison Transmission?

Need more info, Is it a diesel? Auto or stick shift.

The alison transmissions are 5 speed automatics and are mostly behind the duramax diesels. The easiest way is to look under you truck and see if you have a spin on oil filter that hangs down in the drivers front corner of the transmission pan

Automatic, Small Gasoline V-8 , No filter, Must not be a Allison Thanks everyone.

More than likely it is the 4L60E (Electronic 700-R4) if it is a 1/2 ton.
