If you are talking an engine performance chip they don't have a chip in your truck. You have to get a programmer the hypertech programmer is what i got for my 01 chevy 5.3 pick up but did not notice much of any diference in performance but i adjusted the shift firmness and adjusted for tire size which was a plus for me

Thanks. In my truck you cant even change the shift firmness so maybe a chip is not a good idea.

The programmer is what allows the shift adjustment, shift points, tire size changes, performance or economy etc. it is all done with programming the vehicle computor with the hypertech or other programmers
