| cold weather rough idle I have a 2001 Sliverado 2500, with a 6.0 liter. During the last couple of days the overnight temp. has dropped to 5 degrees or colder. When I start my truck in the morning it starts, goes to high idle(1500rpm) and stays there for about 5 seconds and drops to normal idle then starts to sputter and eventually kills. I start it the second a second time and it does the same thing with the sputtering but eventually smooths out after about 15 seconds. This has never happened before in the 4 years i have had the truck. The fuel filter and fuel pressure regulator have been replaced within the past 6 months. What is going on here? |

| idle concern Its most likely the intake gaskets leaking vacuum. They can even cause a flashing check engine light which indicates a misfire concern or may even set a p0171 and or p0174 for a lean concern. I,m a tech at a chevy dealer and we have had about 1 intake every other day for the last couple of weaks |
